I shall Restore your shame for Honor

“Instead of your shame, you shall have double honor, and instead of confusion, they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land, they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be theirs.”

Isaiah 61:7

God is restoring those who have felt the weight of disappointment, shame and the injustices of what many of us has gone through..

You may feel like you have been in a holding pattern, like you have been going through the same routine and nothing has changed, you feel as if God has not heard you cry out in desperation.

God has heard the cries of His people and is coming through for us.

”Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the belly of the fish, saying, “I called out to the Lord, out of my distress, and he answered me; out of the belly of Sheol I cried, and you heard my voice.“

‭‭Jonah‬ ‭2‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭ESV‬‬

So many of us think what we are going through right now isn't of God, but God ordains our very steps, even the hard seasons, He wants us to depend on Him through every circumstance...

God knows the intimate details of our life, He knows very well where we are, He knows what we need in order to surrender completely.

He is wanting so much more for us than we do, God is making away when all we see is problems, our God is a God of solutions and breakthroughs.

So many of us haven't seen what God has promised us, so many of us are questioning where am I supposed to be, what am I supposed to do. What do you want me to do God.

But all He wants is for us to sit at his feet and listen to Him, to have his words to soften our hearts, release control and let Him do only what He can do, he wants your genuine authenticity, He longs to hear your voice just as much as we long for His.

The greatest example is the story of Mary & Martha

”Now as they went on their way, Jesus entered a village. And a woman named Martha welcomed him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet and listened to his teaching. But Martha was distracted with much serving. And she went up to him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me.” But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.”“

‭‭Luke‬ ‭10‬:‭38‬-‭42‬ ‭ESV‬‬

God wants us to rest knowing He has it all, He is ultimately in control.

He wants and longs to embrace you, encourage you, cheer you on, He sings praises over, He wants to hold you and embrace you for where you are, He doesn't want you to strive, He doesn't want you to keep fighting a fight that isn't yours to battle.

He wants you to trust Him and surrender to His love, His grace and to His power.

He will always come through, we just have to trust, do what we can only do and what is only in our control.

We will never be God, but we can pray, release and surrender the weight and learn to trust in the uncertainty.

The shame of the past is falling away day by day, the injustice is turning and those will see God reveal the truth for those who have gone through the immense suffering from others.

God is a God of vindication, He loves serving humble pies to those who mock Him and do harm to His chosen..

God will show His goodness upon you, He will come through in away that it will surprise you and make you fall to your knees overwhelmed with His love for you alone.

”I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you. “You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And my people shall never again be put to shame. You shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the Lord your God and there is none else. And my people shall never again be put to shame.“

‭‭Joel‬ ‭2‬:‭25‬-‭27‬ ‭ESV‬‬

”And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.“

‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭10‬ ‭ESV‬‬

”I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you. And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.“

‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭36‬:‭25‬-‭27‬ ‭ESV‬‬

”He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.“

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭23‬:‭3‬ ‭ESV‬‬
